JLC’s Chanukiah back in Trafalgar Square over Chanukah

The Jewish Leadership Council is proud to bring back the iconic Chanukiah at the heart of London to mark this festival, as well as lighting up the landmark lastminute.com London Eye.

Kindly co-sponsored and supported by the Mayor of London and GLA, the menorah will be on display in Trafalgar Square from Wednesday 25 Dec 2024 until Thursday 2 Jan 2025, with one of the lights lit each day. The menorah stands proudly alongside the famous Christmas Tree and is a symbol of London’s religious diversity.

We urge you to take the time to see our Chanukiah in Trafalgar square. This powerful symbol of Jewish pride is our response to increased antisemitism in the UK.

We also invite you to join #LightWithPride. We encourage you to light your Chanukiah, capture the moment, and share it on social media using the hashtag #LightWithPride. By doing so, we collectively affirm that our traditions and identity are sources of joy and resilience.
