JLC’s Annual Members’ Parliamentary Tea

On Tuesday 5th November the JLC held its annual Members’ Parliamentary Tea in the House of Lords, hosted by JLC Vice President Baroness Altmann CBE.

The event is an opportunity for us to celebrate the work of our members alongside our friends in both the House of Commons and Lords.

We brought together Chairs and CEO’s of more than 30 of our member organisations from across the country, as well as more than 40 parliamentarians from across the political spectrum, including Ministers and members of the Shadow Cabinet. We were also joined by many JLC external stakeholders with whom we work closely to strengthen the community’s voice.

Addressing the crowd, JLC Vice-President Baroness Altmann stated: “We know this has been a difficult time for the Jewish community and so it is such a pleasure to see support of so many of our friends from both outside the community as well as within.”

Our Chair Keith Black echoed this, and stated “You are the crown jewels of our community, and we are all enormously grateful for your leadership and commitment. Without your efforts we would be a collection of individuals, but you make us a community.”
