CST records highest total of anti-Jewish hate

The latest antisemitism statistics released by CST for the first half of 2024 reveal the “highest total of anti-Jewish hate ever reported”, more than double the amount recorded between January to June 2023.

This takes place as the Jewish community continues to feel the effect of the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict and as far-right riots sweep across the country resulting in heightened social disorder.

Responding to the report, Russell Langer, Director of Public Affairs at the JLC, states:

“The latest antisemitic incidents report from CST depicts in granular detail the record levels of antisemitism which British Jews continue to receive in response to the ongoing Israel-Hamas conflict. Yet this sadly comes as no surprise to our community, who have experienced this deluge of hatred every day since October 7th. Leaders at all levels of politics and society must urgently consider how they can stand with the Jewish community and tackle anti-Jewish racism in our communities.

We are deeply grateful to CST, a valued member of the Jewish Leadership Council, for their tireless work recording and preventing antisemitism and for providing invaluable security to our community.”
