Managing Upwards

This engaging session is an introduction to strategies to improve collaboration with your manager, enhance communication, and tackle workplace challenges effectively. Interactive elements include role-play exercises, group discussions, and real-world case studies, ensuring practical takeaways you can use straight away. 

This is a two-hour face to face workshop

Cost: £35 for JLC member organisations, £40 for non JLC member organisations

The course will be held in a NW London venue, which will be disclosed nearer to the event

    • To help you understand the principles of managing upwards for better workplace relationships

    • To equip you with tools to communicate effectively and positively influence decisions

    • To build your confidence in addressing workplace challenges collaboratively

  • By the end of this session, participants will be able to: 

     

    • Recognise and adapt to your manager’s working style and priorities. 

    • Communicate proactively and constructively with your manager. 

    • Present ideas and solutions persuasively, even without formal authority. 

    • Manage workplace challenges, including conflicts, with professionalism and tact. 

    • Have actionable strategies to strengthen your relationship with your manager.
