Join us on 1st May to hear what it takes to become a trustee of a Jewish community organisation, the barriers they had to overcome, and why our brightest young trustees love what they do!
The Future is Bright: The new generation of young trustees taking the community by storm!
Did you know that only 6% of Jewish charity trustees* are aged 35 or under? Join us at this networking drinks event to meet and hear from some of our most outstanding and talented young trustees who are bucking the trend. They show the value of what young people can bring - with their skills, insights and lived experiences. Judith Flacks-Leigh (Chair of HIAS + JCORE, trustee of UJS), Edward Isaacs (trustee of UJIA) and Annabel Mahgarefteh (trustee of World Jewish Relief) will talk about what it takes to become a trustee of a Jewish community organisation, the barriers they had to overcome, and why they love what they do.
This event is for young people who are thinking about following a similar path into trustee or voluntary roles- and an opportunity for senior Jewish charity leaders to hear from and meet some of our community’s best and brightest about why we celebrate and value people of all ages on our boards - younger, older and everything in between!
