Nina Freedman is the most recent former President of the Union of Jewish Students where she was elected to represent 8500 Jewish students in the UK and Ireland. She has extensive experience of leading a team on complex campaigns and has built strong relationships with various stakeholders, including meeting cross-party with ministers, senior opposition politicians and the Prime Minister.

Prior to that, she was President of the University of Bristol Jewish Society where she represented student voices on a local and national level, with regards to religious issues, prejudice and antisemitism.

Nina graduated from Bristol University with a degree in English, having completed her A Levels at Yavneh College.

Her key achievements as UJS President include planning and executing the biggest event in the Union's history, with students coming together for an education-focused residential weekend. delivering a conference with the Secretary of State for Education focusing on support for Jewish students, and vastly increasing the number of universities that had adopted the IHRA definition of antisemitism.

Nina was Vice-Chair of Trustees for B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation from 2021-2022.

Here she approved budgets and held the CEO to account and scrutinising the organisation.

Nina is currently the External Affairs Officer at the Antisemitism Policy Trust.
