Lead and JVN to host Jewish Community Trustees’ Conference in Manchester

On Wednesday 16th November, Lead and JVN will host its first ever Jewish Community Trustees’ Conference in Manchester. Both organisations are fully committed to the continued development of regional organisations and this event will be the perfect opportunity for Chairs, Trustees, aspiring trustees and CEOs based in Manchester, Leeds and the surrounding areas to come together to discuss familiar issues, improve their knowledge on the current charity landscape, network with one another and take part in breakout sessions to further enhance their knowledge to the benefit of both themselves and the organisations they represent.

We will be joined by expert charity lawyer Malcolm Lynch who will provide a governance update looking at the past 12 months and highlighting areas that all trustees need to know. This will be followed by a light supper which will provide guests with the opportunity to network with one another. This will then be followed by two breakout sessions with participants choosing which one to attend. They will include:

  • A Case study discussion prepared specifically for this event using a real life example from the Charity Commission website

  • Understand what good governance is and why it is vital for your organisation

To book your place please complete this short form. Please note there will be an early bird rate of £20 per organisation until 28th October. The price will then be £35 per organisation. If you are not affiliated with an organisation the price will be £20. We believe cost should never be a barrier to attending, so if this is an issue please contact laurence@thejlc.org, all conversations will be held confidentially. Please also contact Laurence if you have any other questions regarding the day.
