Using the Psychological Contract to Improve our Relationships [SOLD OUT]

Unfortunately, Using the Psychological Contract is now sold out. If you would like to add your name to the waiting list, please e-mail Jo Goldsmith - joanne@thejlc.org.

The term 'psychological contract' refers to individuals’ expectations, beliefs, ambitions, and obligations, as perceived by the employer and the worker. It is about the unwritten ‘deal’ between them.  When there is a sense of fairness and trust it will go well but the reverse is true. This session will introduce the idea of the psychological contact and illustrate it with examples as well as exploring the psychological contracts of the delegates with the aim of improving relationships.

  • To show how the psychological contract can be used to improve relationships.

  • • To understand what the psychological contract is and how it can help or hinder at work

    • To explore differences in psychological contracts

    • To delegates to consider the psychological contracts they have with others

  • By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to:

    • Feel confident about why the psychological contract is important

    • Know where to go for more information

    • Have the ability to use some of the ideas in their organisations
