Managing Change and Dealing with Resistance

Organisations are constantly changing and adapting, never more so than during the Coronavirus pandemic.  To change organisations, you need to change people; often including their behaviour, attitude and skills.  As anyone who has tried a new exercise regime or diet knows, this is not easy.  This course looks at models for change and how to deal with resistance so that change runs more smoothly.

  • To explore the human response to change and discover the key needs of team members at each stage of the response. At the same time, to discover models with key tips and tools to enable leaders to cope with change in a practical and realistic way.

  • By the end of the workshop, delegates will be able to:

    • Define the human response to change

    • Understand key questions to explore as a team, in order to understand the needs of the team as a whole at each stage of the human response, including resistance

    • Learn some practical tips and tools to implement in making good endings when things have changed for the team

    • Equip the team with the ability to acknowledge and face changes in their world
