Digital Development Programme

About the Digital Development Programme

The Jewish Leadership Council launched this programme in January 2022 with the aim to to support community leaders and organisations to increase and improve use of digital tools to enhance their productivity and effectiveness. We do this in three ways:

  1. We enable participating organisations to review their digital maturity and set digital goals

  2. We facilitate targeted and appropriate training aimed at realising those goals

  3. We will build a network of communal professionals sharing learning and best practice from their digital journeys

From March 2022, the JLC has been working alongside eight other organisations (both JLC members and non-members) to benchmark their digital maturity using the NCVOs Digital Maturity Matrix and then set digital goals. On average, the nine organisations involved (including the JLC) have benchmarked themselves at 41% digital maturity with grand ambitions to reach a target of 73%. Our greatest area of strength is in Security and Data Protection, and we require greatest improvements across Data and Insights (i.e. how we gather, use and analyse data to inform our operations), with further common goals across Communications and Content. This process has helped us to design a range of training and development opportunities, laid out below. These are open to any Jewish community organisation and you can register interest in participating in any of them via the link below.
