Council of Membership

The Council is comprised of senior lay representatives from our member organisations and Vice Presidents. It meets at least three times a year to discuss the strategic issues that affect the Jewish community in the UK, approve any decisions made by the trustees, and plan for the future. The Council also elects the JLC’s Trustees and approves any new member organisations that join the JLC.

Vice Presidents

The JLC’s Vice Presidents are Jewish Community leaders and experts who do not represent a specific organisation. The Vice Presidents advise the JLC’s Trustees and Council of Membership. They have a voice but not a vote – they attend meetings and give their time and experience to the Jewish Community and the JLC. Some Vice Presidents volunteer to join JLC committees.
